ABC Ball Valves for Cooling Towers
ABC motorized ball valves powered open by line voltage and motor-driven closed by a built in capacitor, when power is removed from the valves.
Plumbing Installation
•For maximum weather protection, the valve should be mounted in a horizontal pipe run with actuator above the ball valve.
•ABC valves can have the flow pass through in either direction.
•A strainer upstream is recommended if installation will have high particulate to prevent damage.
•Isolation and by pass valves are also recommended for maintenance.
Wiring
•Valves with the 100-240 VAC actuator will operate off of a line voltage within this range.
•Line voltage outside of the rated range will damage actuator.
•Black wire connects to neutral and red to hot.
•When line voltage is applied, valve will open and when voltage is removed, it will close.
